Speaker Profiles

John Bintz (Panelist)
Managing Director, Valuation Research Corporation

John has more than 26 years of experience in the financial services industry with well developed expertise in private equity, M&A and valuation analysis. He previously founded and led his own firm, Apple Tree Investments, and has worked for Dresner Investment Services and Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette. Frequently sought by the media as an expert economic/financial analyst and host, he regularly appears nationwide at major corporate and educational events speaking on a wide variety of financial topics. He is an adjunct professor of finance at DePaul University (since 2008) and the University of Illinois at Chicago (since 2010). He earned his bachelor's degree in financial administration at Michigan State University and his MBA in finance/economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Dan Weinfurter (Panelist)
Managing Partner, Chicago Growth Consultants

Dan is the author of the recently published and favorably reviewed Second Stage Entrepreneurship: Ten Proven Strategies for Driving Aggressive Growth. His book distills lessons acquired as a successful serial entrepreneur over the past 25 years, leading several private equity backed firms to high rankings on the Inc 500 list, including his first startup (Parson Group) that attained the #1 position. Dan began his business career at General Electric, holding progressively responsible positions in its sales organization before moving on to entrepreneurship with Alternative Resources. He serves on multiple corporate and non-profit boards and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago. A native of Wisconsin , he earned his BS and MBA degrees at Marquette University.
