After the Apocalypse: Where Does Finance Go from Here?
Event Details
Alumni Career Services invites you to attend the 2013 New York Career Month event.
Five years after the financial crisis, good news is bad news and bad news is good news. The invisible hand is gloved in central bank tampering, and financial innovations have given way to sovereign intervention. How do we get back to free markets? What happens to the financial products that were innovative a few years ago? After the apocolypse, where does finance go from here?
We'll hear from a panel of UChicago experts in their fields, and continue the discussion during a networking reception. The panel will include:
Tom Kalaris– MBA, '78 - Former CEO of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management
RoseMary Safranek, AB'80 and MBA'88 – Chief Investment Officer at Ninepeaks Capital Management
Gus Sauter, MBA'80 - Retired Managing Director & Chief Investment Officer at The Vanguard Group
Rodney Miller, MBA'87 - Managing Director, M&A at J.P. Morgan Chase
Whether you are looking for a job or looking to hire fellow UChicago alumni, interested in building your professional network or serving as a networking contact for others, please come out to meet fellow alumni and lend your professional expertise and experience.
