Speaker Profiles

Laura Minzer (Panelist)
Executive Director, Illinois Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare Council

Ms. Minzer is the Executive Director of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce's Healthcare Council, the business issue council acting as the Chamber's primary resource for responding to and influencing healthcare policy, including rules for the new health insurance exchange and the expansion of Medicaid. As the Chamber's lead on health reform, she interprets and responds to state and federal legislation and regulatory issues including implementation of the Affordable Care Act, its impact on employers in 2013-14, and other determinants shaping the coverage landscape in the health insurance market and the broader healthcare system in Illinois. She has also served on the Illinois State Health Improvement Planning Team 2009-2010 and is currently a member of the Illinois Department of Public Health's Leadership Team for their Community Transformation  rant/We Choose Health initiative supporting public health efforts to reduce chronic  iseases, promote healthier lifestyles, narrow health disparities and control healthcare pending.

Alex Morozov (Panelist)
Director of global healthcare equity research, Morningstar

Mr. Morozov is the director of global healthcare equity research at Morningstar. In this capacity, he leads a team of 10 healthcare analysts, covering more than 150 companies across the healthcare sector worldwide. In addition to being responsible for team stock recommendations, research quality and consistency, as well as analyst development, he has been frequently featured in various media and print media, including CNBC, Reuters, Fox Business and others. He has performed public speaking engagements on healthcare trends at several conferences, including various CFA events. Prior to his current position at Morningstar, Mr. Morozov served as senior equity analyst, covering medical instruments, life sciences, and diagnostics industries. Before joining Morningstar in May 2006, he worked in the insurance industry. He holds a bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in mathematics from the University of Missouri. He has been a CFA charter holder since 2005.

Daniel Yunker (Panelist)
Senior Vice President and CFO, Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council

Mr. Yunker serves as the Metropolitan Chicago Healthcare Council's (MCHC) Senior Vice
President and CFO. Joining MCHC in 2005, he provides strategic executive oversight for MCHC's MetroChicago Health Information Exchange, Business Resource Solutions, Human Capital Services and Employee Benefit Trust. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Land of Lincoln Health, Inc.

Mr. Yunker also takes an active role in several industry organizations. He is the current
president-elect of the Healthcare Financial Management Association First Illinois Chapter, a board member for American Specialty Health Insurance Company as a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and the Health Information Management System Society.
