About Dean Sunil Kumar
Sunil Kumar is the Dean and George Pratt Shultz Professor of Operations Management at Chicago Booth. Kumar's academic research includes performance evaluation and control of manufacturing systems, service operations, and communications networks. In particular, he studies systems affected by stochastic variability via mathematical models. He also studies application of optimization methods and control theory to managerial problems. Kumar has published dozens of scholarly research articles and has served as the editor of the Stochastic Models area of the journal Operations Research. About John Ehara, '78
John Ehara co-founded Unison Capital in 1998. He has been an active member of the Investment Committee and providing overall leadership in growing the firm. He co-led investments in Orient Credit, Media Leaves, Cosmos Initia, Minit Asia Pacific, Nexcon Technology and Dexerials. In 2005, he became the first Chairman of the Private Equity Association of Japan. Prior to founding Unison Capital, he spent sixteen years as an investment banker at Goldman Sachs building its franchise in Japan. He was selected to be the first Japanese General Partner of Goldman Sachs in 1988. John has a BS from MIT and an MBA from Chicago Booth and is a member of the Chicago Booth Global Advisory Board, Asia Cabinet.
