The Group provides a platform for Booth alumni and business professionals in the Washington DC area to discuss and learn about developments that are impacting the business landscape involving China and US. Future speakers will likely include Ted Dean, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Beijing (and a Booth graduate), representatives from the China Embassy, and Chinese business and government staff visiting the US.

Marc A. Ross is Director of Communications and Publications for the US-China Business Council (USCBC) where he directs USCBC's global communications, marketing, and media efforts. USCBC is a private, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of nearly 240 American companies that do business with China and is the leading American organization focused on US-China commercial relations.

Ross holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on global business and international relations through the University of North Carolina's OneMBA program at the Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies from Bowling Green State University.

Ross is active philanthropically as a member of the Board of Directors for Boundless Hope, a charity dedicated to improving the educational opportunities and healthcare for the children of Sierra Leone, the founder of the Brigadoon Conference and a member of the OneMBA Alumni Board.

Ross is a frequent speaker, commentator and author on all matters of social media, grassroots, public affairs and political campaigns. He has spoken at Georgetown University, the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, the Wisconsin School of Business and the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business on how politics impacts business, the rise of new media for grassroots and communications as well as US-China commercial relations. He was the Conference Chairman for the Advance Learning Institute's 11th Social Media and Government Conference and has taught campaign strategy as a Leadership Institute lecturer. He has also been invited to the United Arab Emirates and Singapore to address groups and lead workshops on political communication and social media for government.
