On October 18th, the Ecole Normale Superieure will confer the title of of Doctor Honoris Causa to Professor Martha Nussbaum and you are cordially invited to join us for the ceremony.
Professor Martha Nussbaum is Ernst Freund Distinguished Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of Chicago. She has made significant contributions into a ray of disciplines working within the fields of Law philosophy, Classics and Political Science. Some of her publications include The Fragility of Goodness: Luck and Ethics in Greek Tragedy and Philosophy (1986), Sex and Social Justice (1998), Women and Human Development - The Capabilities Approach (2000). The translation of her book Love's Knowlegde has just been released by Editions du Cerf.
