Event Details

The 2017 Edelman Trust Barometer shows that trust is in crisis around the world. The general population's trust in all four key institutions – business, government, NGOs and media – has declined broadly, creating a global implosion of trust.

In this climate, people's societal and economic concerns turn into fears, spurring the rise of populist actions playing out in different areas across the globe. What do today's populist tendencies mean for business—and what must business leaders do to earn the right and responsibility to lead and protect themselves against the risks?

Join us to hear from Kevin Cook, Edelman Chicago's Chief Operating Officer, as he discusses action business leaders can take to climb back from a position of deteriorated trust, and ultimately restore belief in the system. We'll explore the opportunities for businesses to lead in an era of populism, and the imperatives for organizations of all kinds to develop a new model of earning trust.
