We are delighted to announce the fifth session of the "Chicago Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum Japan" (CHIEF-J). This time we are honored to have as the guest speaker, Dr. Tomy Kamada, one of Japan's most admirable entrepreneurs and founder and ex-CEO of ACCESS Co., Ltd.
Dr. Kamada became famous for designing platforms for successful i-mode services by NTTDoCoMo, and now Dr. Kamada is actively supporting and investing in several prospective tech-startups bringing them global.

We are also honored to have Mr. Kotaro Soga and Ms. Maiko Miyakawa, as our second guest speakers. Mr. Soga and Ms. Miyakawa led experimentation of launching a new type of media whose purpose is to accelerate individuals who create the future.

In addition, a business plan presentation by Chicago Booth alumnus Seiichi Chada, '01 who is the founder and CEO of MICHI TRAVEL JAPAN, which provides superior personalized travel experiences in Japan for foreign tourists.

Tomy Kamada is co-founder of ACCESS Co. Ltd. (listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange: 4813), a global software company for mobile and beyond-PC markets. He is also renowned as an inventor of "Compact HTML" for mobile phones, enabling successful mobile Internet services.

After retiring from ACCESS, in 2012, Dr. Kamada founded "TomyK Ltd." – Startup Booster, which actively supports young innovative startups. His interests include Robotics, AI and Brain computing, Human Augmentation, DNA analysis, Life healthcare, Space, and EdTech.

Dr. Kamada received a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Tokyo.

Prior to starting Michi Travel, Seiichi Chada worked for Development Bank of Japan from 1994 to 2006, in the field of corporate finance, project finance and M&A advisory.

In November 2006, Seiichi founded Michi Travel Japan with an aim to start a company specializing in inbound tourism and started operation after obtaining license as travel company in 2007. 2016 marks the 10th anniversary in an unprecedented expanding market situation of inbound tourism.

Seiichi Chada hold degrees from Kyoto University LLB 1994 and an MBA from Chicago Booth in 2001.
