Mihir Shah, '10: President and Regional Contact, Mumbai

Mihir is an Associate at India Capital, a Mumbai based hedge fund, where he focuses on public equity investments in the Indian markets. He was previously at Goldman Sachs in New York, Tokyo, London and Bangalore in the equities technology group. Mihir holds an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago, where he was named a Siebel Scholar. He also holds a Master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in computer technology from VJTI, Mumbai.

Anand Prabhudesai, '03: Regional Vice-President, Bangalore

Anand is currently leading new venture development initiative at Nokia for emerging markets. Prior to joining Nokia, he was responsible for business development at Yahoo! India. Anand has more than 8 years of strategy and operations experience in the internet space. He started his career in consulting with Deloitte. Anand holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from IIT-Bombay, and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago.

Sathya Narayanaswamy, '00: Regional Vice-President, Chennai

Sathya is currently leading the Mobile Center of Excellence at Cognizant, focused on mobile applications. Sathya prior experience includes being head of Syntel's Telecom business unit, GM India for Riverstone Networks (acquired by Lucent) and his a startup - Parentree. His 17 years of experience includes stints at Lockheed Martin and multiple Silicon Valley startups in the telecom/networking space. He has engineering degrees from the CIT (Coimbatore) and Virginia Tech and an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago.

Rajesh Raju, '01: Regional Vice-President, Hyderabad

Rajesh is a Partner at Peepul Capital, a private equity firm that invests in growth equity in India-centric businesses. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for investment banking and private equity firms in the U.S. working across corporate finance, M&A, equity research and direct investment. Rajesh also spent many years in the software industry in operational and management roles evolving sales, marketing, channels and M&A strategies. He has Engineering degrees from BITS, Pilani, India and Marquette University and an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago.

Akshay Sethi, '07: Regional Vice-President, New Delhi

Akshay returned to The Stellar Group, his Real Estate development business in India. Prior to his return, he worked at McKinsey & Company in their New York office. Previously, Akshay also worked at the World Bank, where he helped develop public policies on health, education, and labor market reform in Europe and Central Asia.

Prabhakar Tadepalli, '98: Admissions Coordinator for India

Prabhakar is co-founder and Managing Director, Tyfone APAC. He is responsible for all product and business development aspects of Tyfone in Asia-Pacific and is responsible for developing the strategic plans for the company. Previously, Prabhakar was Founder, CEO of Finatus, Inc, a venture-backed, web-application outsourcing company. Prior to founding the company, he was responsible for Strategic Planning at Intel Online Services, and also was part of the Intel Architecture Business Group's (Reseller Products Division) SMB Business Development team. Prabhakar received his MBA from the University of Chicago, an MS in Engineering from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BE from Bharathiyar University in India. Prabhakar is located in Bangalore, India.

Hitesh Windlass, '07: Regional Admissions Coordinator, Delhi

Hitesh is a Co-founder and CEO of Windlas Healthcare (P) Ltd - a pharmaceuticals research, development and manufacturing company. Prior to founding this firm, Hitesh worked a scientist at Polymer Memory Group - an Intel Capital funded startup within Intel Corporation, Santa Clara, USA. Here he co-invented fourteen different technologies for which he holds eight US Patents. Subsequently, he worked as an analyst at a seed stage Venture Capital firm called Illinois Ventures, Chicago where he aided in assessing the commercial potential of several ground breaking technologies in academia and various research institutes of Illinois. Hitesh has B.Tech. from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, India, an MS from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA and MBA with honors from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business.

Nat Iyer, '00: Regional Admissions Coordinator, Bangalore

Nat is currently with Egon Zehnder International, a global executive search firm. Earlier, he was a Practice Head, Global Delivery India Center with Hewlett Packard, Bangalore and prior to that Senior Product Manager with Siebel Systems in San Mateo. Earlier he was President with NitraTech Consulting, in Houston, and a Principal Consultant with Oracle Corporation, in Houston as well. Nat has a MBA from the University of Chicago, has a Masters in Science from Industrial and Management Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, US and a B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagapur, India.

Mike Shaw, '89: Expat Support

Mike is a Director with Bucyrus International, the world’s largest mining equipment company and is based in Kolkata. Prior to India, Mike has been stationed in Japan, the Philippines and Singapore. Mike has a BBA from the University of Notre Dame and a JD from the University of Connecticut. He obtained his MBA from the University of Chicago while serving as a Marine Corps Office.

Praveen Chennareddy, '05: Past President

Praveen is a Principal at Gaja Capital Partners, a Mumbai based private equity firm. Prior to joining Gaja, he worked on alternative investments for Merrill Lynch in New York, where he focused on fund raising and analysis of private equity opportunities. Praveen has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in economics from Northwestern University.
