GSB Alumni invited to attend “1st International Forum on Venture Capital and Private Equity – Brazil” by Claudio Furtado, (MBA, 1980 Ph.D. 198?). This event marked the opening of FGV-EAESP’s Center for Studies in Private Equity and Venture Capital. Scott F. Meadow, GSB Professor of Entrepreneurship participated in the event via real-time video conference.

GSB Alumni invited to attend seminar hosted by the Instituto Futuro Brasil www.ifb.com.br , Chairman, Claudio Haddad ( Ph.D. Economics 1974 ) on the topic of “Victimization in the State of São Paulo.” Among the panelists was Dr. José Alexandre Scheinkman. Like most other major metropolitan areas worldwide a significant portion of crimes go unreported through official police channels. This important study was specially designed to aid policy makers and others and gained accolades from government and private sector leaders for its excellent design and relevant, well-validated data.

GSB Alumni invited to: Opening – Photo Exhibit “Vedacit no Sertao Brasileiro”. An award winning healthcare project documentary in “Rally dos Sertões”. Current MBA Student Thomaz Srougi, headed the venture and was instrumental in arranging for the team to extend the Instituto Criança é Vida project in needy communities. Bravo!
