About Us

The Atlanta Chapter has nearly 400 Chicago Booth alumni in the greater Atlanta area. We strive to provide educational events and networking opportunities. The Chapter has three to four major events each year.

Our annual Fall Party, generally held the first week of November, attracts upwards of 70 alumni (you can view photos of the 2007 party on our Photos page). We host the evening event at one of our alum's homes and invite a professor or administrator from Chicago Booth to speak to the group. In 2007, Professor Pradeep Chintagunta discussed with us the strengths and developments of Chicago Booth Marketing department. Previous guests have included Professor Luigi Zingales, who presented his new book, Saving Capitalism from the Capitalists, and Dean Edward Snyder, who discussed his vision for Chicago Booth and plans for the new Chicago Booth facility, the Charles M. Harper Center.

The Pro-Am Investment Challenge has been an annual event for sixteen years in Atlanta. We invite three investment advisers or financial analysts to provide their forecast of the upcoming year on Wall Street. The challenge comes in the form of picking a portfolio of stocks to compete against fellow alumni and against the three presenting Pros. This year's Pro-Am Investment Challenge is scheduled for January 24, 2008, (visit our "Events" page for more information).

The other events we have vary by year to address emerging business topics. Recent events have featured the burst technology bubble, networking and career direction setting, and casual social events to welcome new alumni to the area. Recent admits to Chicago Booth are welcome to all of our events.

The Atlanta Chapter re-joined the Atlanta Business School Alliance (ABSA) in 2003. The ABSA is an association of the top business school's alumni clubs in Atlanta. All ABSA events are open to Chicago Booth alumni.

The Atlanta Club also participates in Chicago Society events. To learn more about Chicago Society and their upcoming events visit here.
